Acrylic

Overview
The full design intent, materials, and how this system is built — in detail.
This freestanding bathtub is molded in acrylic and measures 1700 mm along its length, a full-size soaking format that stands on its own away from the wall rather than dropping into a built-in surround. Positioned free of tile and joinery, it reads as the centerpiece of the bathroom, with all sides finished and visible.
Acrylic is formed from heated, molded sheet reinforced with fiberglass, which produces a smooth, glossy, non-porous surface and keeps the tub relatively light compared with cast iron or stone. That non-porous face is what makes it resist mildew and staining, and because acrylic does not pull heat from the skin as fast as denser materials, the shell feels warm at first touch when you step in for a soak.
Care is straightforward and matters for keeping the finish. Clean with non-abrasive cleaners and a soft cloth; skipping abrasives protects the gloss, light surface scratches can be polished out, and a finish that has dulled over time can usually be restored by polishing rather than replaced. This keeps a 1700 mm tub looking new well beyond the first year of daily use.

FAQ
These questions help buyers compare options and reduce friction before inquiry.
It is acrylic, formed from heated, molded acrylic sheet reinforced with fiberglass. That gives it a smooth, glossy, non-porous surface that resists mold and staining, and it stays relatively lightweight compared with cast iron or stone.
Use only non-abrasive cleaners with a soft cloth. Avoiding abrasives protects the glossy finish; light scratches can be polished out, and a dulled surface can often be restored by polishing, so the tub keeps its look over time.
The bathtub is 1700 mm in length, a full-size freestanding soaking format that sits away from the wall with all sides finished. Because interior depth and drain placement depend on your layout, we confirm exact dimensions and fit during a consultation at /consultation.
