Overview
The full design intent, materials, and how this system is built — in detail.
The CT-029 is a low square coffee table measuring 80 cm wide by 80 cm deep and 37 cm high, surfaced in microcrystal stone and finished with painted detailing and wood veneer. The 80 x 80 cm footprint gives a generous central surface for a seating group, while the 37 cm height sits comfortably alongside most sofas and lounge chairs.
The microcrystal stone top is the defining surface. Microcrystalline (nano-crystallized) glass stone is an engineered material built mainly from quartz sand and formed without resins or binders, which leaves it essentially non-porous with water absorption near zero. That closed surface resists staining from wine, coffee and oils far better than porous natural stone, and its glossy, uniformly pale appearance reads cleaner than the veined character of natural marble. Because it carries no resin, the material is also noted by suppliers for strong scratch, abrasion and acid/alkali resistance.
The wood veneer and painted finish handle the supporting structure and visual framing beneath that top. In stone-topped table construction it is standard practice to bond the slab to a wood sub-top and fix the base into the wood rather than into the stone, since fastening directly into stone creates a weak point where it can crack. The combination of an engineered stone surface over a wood-and-paint base keeps the piece low-maintenance: a non-porous top like this needs no sealing and wipes clean with a damp cloth and mild soap, unlike natural marble, which is recommended to be resealed periodically and can still etch on acid contact.
Day to day, treat it as a hardworking living-room surface that still rewards basic care: wipe spills, use coasters under condensation, and reach for a pH-neutral cleaner rather than anything harsh. FAQ
These questions help buyers compare options and reduce friction before inquiry.
The top is microcrystal (nano-crystallized glass) stone, an engineered material made mainly from quartz sand with no resins or binders. Suppliers report it as essentially non-porous with near-zero water absorption, so it resists staining from wine, coffee and oils and needs no sealing. Natural marble, by contrast, is porous, stains more readily, and is recommended to be resealed periodically; it can also etch where acids touch it. The two materials look and behave differently, so this is an engineered stone surface, not natural marble.
It is a square coffee table, 80 cm wide by 80 cm deep, standing 37 cm high. The square top works well as the central surface in front of a sofa or a grouped seating arrangement, and the low height pairs with most lounge seating. Exact dimensions and any size options are confirmed through a consultation at /consultation.
Because the surface is non-porous, routine care is simple: wipe with a damp cloth and a mild, pH-neutral soap, and dry to avoid water rings. Use coasters under cold or wet glasses and avoid harsh or acidic cleaners as a general good-practice habit. The top does not require the periodic sealing that natural marble does.
