Stone-Top Coffee Table (Microfiber saddle leather)

The CT-018 is a square coffee table built around a sintered stone top measuring 1000 mm by 1000 mm, standing 355 mm tall — a clean 100 cm square at a low 35.5 cm height that sits comfortably in front of a sofa and gives a generous landing zone for trays, books and glassware. Microfiber saddle leather is worked into the piece alongside the stone, adding a softer, tactile counterpoint to the hard mineral surface.

Sintered stone is an engineered surface: natural minerals such as silica, clay and feldspar fused under extreme heat and very high pressure, with no synthetic resins or binders. That process yields an ultra-compact, essentially non-porous slab, which is why sintered tops resist staining from wine, coffee, oils and acidic foods far better than a porous natural stone, and why they need no periodic sealing. It is also highly resistant to scratching and heat — though, as with any surface, a trivet is still the right habit and hot pans should never be set down directly.

Because sintered stone is produced as a large-format slab, a 100 cm square top like this one reads as a single seamless surface rather than a jointed one. For day-to-day care, a damp cloth with mild soap is enough; the microfiber leather elements simply want regular dusting and prompt attention to spills.
