Overview
The full design intent, materials, and how this system is built — in detail.
Side Table ST-027 pairs a microcrystal stone top with a lacquer finish, sized at 85 cm wide and 36 cm deep (850 mm x 360 mm). That footprint sits comfortably at the end of a sofa or beside a reading chair — wide enough for a lamp, a stack of books and a drink, narrow enough to slip into the gap between seating and wall.
Microcrystal stone (also called nano-crystallized glass stone) is an engineered surface whose main raw material is quartz sand, formed without resins or binders. The result is a completely non-porous top with a glossy, uniform pure-white look — closer to a clean, even white than the bold grey-gold veining of natural marble. Because the surface is essentially non-porous, it resists staining and acid or alkali contact far better than a porous natural stone, and its hardness is comparable to granite.
That non-porosity is the practical difference from marble. Natural marble is a softer, porous stone (it stains, etches against acids like wine or citrus, and needs periodic sealing); microcrystal stone needs no sealing at all. Day to day, wipe the top with a soft, damp cloth and a little mild soap. As a general habit with any stone-look surface, use coasters and trivets and avoid placing very hot items directly on the top.

FAQ
These questions help buyers compare options and reduce friction before inquiry.
The top is microcrystal stone (nano-crystallized glass stone), an engineered surface made mainly from quartz sand with no resins or binders. Unlike natural marble — which is porous, stains and etches against acids, and needs periodic sealing — microcrystal stone is essentially non-porous, with a glossy, uniform pure-white appearance and hardness comparable to granite. It does not require sealing.
Because the surface is non-porous, care is simple: wipe with a soft, damp cloth and a little mild soap, and dry it off. There is no resealing schedule to keep up with, unlike natural marble. As a sensible precaution with any tabletop, use coasters and trivets and don't set very hot items directly on the surface.
It measures 85 cm wide by 36 cm deep (850 mm x 360 mm). That makes it a side or end table — sized for the end of a sofa or next to a chair, holding a lamp, books and a drink. For the full set of measurements and finish options, book a consultation at /consultation.
