Overview
The full design intent, materials, and how this system is built — in detail.
The DC-031 is a dining chair built on a metal frame, finished with a decorative PVD (physical vapor deposition) coating. Because a PVD finish is a hard, thin film bonded to the metal in a vacuum chamber, the frame reads as an intentional colour and texture rather than a surface layer that will peel or flake with everyday use at the table.
That coating process is what gives the chair its palette flexibility. Depending on the deposited material, PVD can produce tones such as brushed champagne, cool gunmetal, or bronze, and the same process supports either a mirror-polished look from a polished base or a satin, brushed metallic look from a brushed base. It is also corrosion- and tarnish-resistant and holds its intended appearance over time, which matters for a seat that gets pulled in, pushed out, and touched at every meal.
Care is straightforward for daily dining: wipe the frame with a soft cloth and mild soap and water, and skip abrasive pads, bleach, and acid- or caustic-based tarnish or rust removers, which can damage the coating. This is a piece to specify around a table where the frame finish should stay consistent across a full set of chairs.
Exact dimensions (width x depth x height in mm) are confirmed for your project at consultation, along with available PVD finish options. For full specs and pricing, book a consultation at /consultation.

FAQ
These questions help buyers compare options and reduce friction before inquiry.
It is built on a metal frame with a decorative PVD (physical vapor deposition) coating, a hard thin film bonded to the metal in a vacuum chamber. PVD is corrosion- and tarnish-resistant, so the frame keeps its intended colour and texture through everyday dining use.
PVD can be produced in tones such as brushed champagne, gunmetal, and bronze, and in either a mirror-polished surface (from a polished base) or a satin, brushed metallic look (from a brushed base). We confirm the specific finish options for your set at consultation.
Clean it with a soft cloth and mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, bleach, and any tarnish or rust removers containing acids or caustic agents, as these can damage the coating. The finish is scratch- and tarnish-resistant, but not indestructible.
