The planning driver is flexible living-system planning. The owner needed a kitchen that could change from 4-person breakfast to 12-person guest service without adding a second back kitchen. Serving trays, breakfast staples, cleaning cloths, table linens, small appliances, and outdoor glassware had to move through one cabinet wall without labels or visible service clutter. The kitchen therefore treats storage as 5 adaptable layers rather than one decorative elevation.

The terrace threshold created the hardest circulation problem. Guests should be able to move between garden, dining table, and island while one cook works at the sink and another stages plates. The design reserves 3 distinct handoff points, each under 2.2 m from the island, so hospitality does not block preparation.

The result is a Budapest villa kitchen that behaves like a living system rather than a fixed display. Breakfast, dinner prep, terrace service, and storage restocking use the same 5-layer cabinet wall, while the island keeps a 125 cm aisle, 1.4 mm panels, 150 kg drawer planning, and a 25-year warranty in one specification.

Daily movement becomes calmer because the family can change the room by routine instead of renovation. Four people can eat breakfast at the island, 12 guests can circulate between terrace and dining table, and one cook can keep the wet zone active without blocking the 180 cm social edge.

Maintenance also becomes easier to predict. The most exposed zones use 304 stainless steel structure, while smoked oak, lime plaster, leather, aged brass, and terrazzo sit outside the heaviest water contact. That separation lets the villa keep a monastic residential mood while applying NSF/ANSI 51, HACCP, and EN 1672-2 where cleaning pressure is highest.
